Cherry Tree Senior cricket is based at the Preston Old Road site and has been for over 100 years. We are proud members of the Ribblesdale league with four teams. Normally First and second team fixtures are played on a Saturday with Third and fourth teams games being played on a Sunday. Teams are entered in the relevant cups and also the T20 knockout normally played on a Wednesday evening. Cherry Trees aim has always been to improve and grow our squads through junior development, as a result our thriving junior section develops players capable of playing senior cricket. As and when qualified coaches feel the players are ready they are encouraged as part of their development to lay along side experienced senior cricketers.
We normally invest in an overseas professional who can contribute to the overall cricket performance and usually support our junior players. In addition when possible we will encourage and overseas amateur to join the club for a season. This allows a younger promising cricketer to experience overseas cricket in England while benefiting Cherry Tree cc with increased cricket competitiveness.
