My name is Andi Willacy, and I am the second team captain at Cherry Tree Cricket Club. Every year we organise a golf day in an attempt to raise essential funds for the club which as you are aware has a thriving youth section with around 10 youth teams ranging from under 7’s to under 18’s and also 4 senior teams with a squad base of over 40 players.
A golf day although it may seem a strange choice for a cricket club offers a number of opportunities to raise much needed additional funds for the club. This is where you as a parent or guardian may be able to help us. Would your place of work be interested in any of the sponsorship options below? Do you own a business and would you be interested in any of the following sponsorship options? If you feel that the answer may be yes to either of these questions please pass the following information on or come and speak to me.
This year’s tournament is taking place at Blackburn Golf Club, on Friday the 20th July, followed by a presentation and Lancs V Yorkshire T20 on the big screen and pie and peas in the cricket club in the evening. We are looking for a local business to be a main sponsor for the day, who’s logo will appear on all advertising for the event on social media, and our club website. They will be the hole sponsor of the first and 18th hole where their company logo will be displayed on the course and in the club for the evening festivities. We are also looking for individual hole sponsors, who again will have their company logo displayed at the hole of their choosing on the course and in the club house as well as on the club’s social media. This year we are also offering the opportunity to sponsor our longest drive and closest to the pin competition, company logo will be displayed at the relative hole and through social media, along with a photo of the winners posted on social media. Or alternatively you may wish to enter a team in the event and join in all the festivities. Below is a list of the costs including the different sponsorship options for the day, and entry into the competition:
· Main Event Sponsorship – £250.00
· Hole sponsorship – £30.00 per hole or 2 holes for £50.00
· Closest to the pin sponsorship – £30
· Longest Drive sponsorship – £30
· Team entry – £160.00 per 4-person team (this includes bacon sandwich and tea or coffee on arrival at the course, 18 holes of golf, pie and pea supper and presentation at the club.)
As a club, we have many other sponsorship opportunities from advertising boards on the ground to match day sponsorship and bowl sponsorship for both our senior and junior teams.
